A Whole Bunch of...

Good News...
Suds was on CNN and ABC News and so many others... including the cover of the Syracuse Post Standard.

Also, yours truly has been invited to the Berlin Talent Campus, organized by the International Film Festival of Berlin... a week of workshops, meeting pros and filmmakers from around the world.. pretty cool. Still debating whether or not to accept.

Keep on truckin'

Wow

Yeah, I like her a lot but no, there is no other reason to put that picture up there. Just wanted to wake you up a little bit.. get your attention. Yeah, it's been about 10 days since I last wrote... Let's compare to the everyday pace of writing when we started off.. but its all good news. Film is still coming along full blow, full progress.. finishing the third draft of the script, fundraising is in progress... blabitty blabitty bla.

The development you can check out is access the website for Four Line Films. Under completed projects, you can even watch my short animation film, Paper Cuts. This one played at PreVues (the Comm school's Best of the Year screening). More good news: Alones has been nominated for PreVues this year... Festival letters for Alones are still coming in. So far, only one positive response... That's the result of only aiming for the A festivals but I'm ok with that.. I guess, the thing to do is evaluate what it is you are looking for from a festival run. A directory of Official Selections or distribution or recognition or contacts or feedback, etc... I have my goals clear so I'm not very concerned about its fate at Sundance or Berlin.

Fall 05 is over but it feels like mid-semester with a majority of the marathon still left to run. Spring 06 is going to be the most intense semester of my college life. Right now, I'm in the middle of things, interviewing various crew members, actors, local businesses, trying to put the film together. The funny part is, almost all the potential crew I've met, its the ones that have no experience at all that I liked. If you know anyone who is interested, email us.

From tomorrow on, the blog will be attended to. We (Doug - the webmaster - and I) are THIS close to finishing up the blog on the FLF webiste. Once that is done, this guy will move over and everything to do with Four Line Films will have the same roof. Till then, Ciao.

Posters for you...

These are two posters you may want to respond to:

If you're interested, there is something you can do on the film. Just email me... And the second one is for the Senior Thesis screening. It's satruday at 6/30.. there's food and drinkks and many excellent films including two I photographed. Lesson learnt on this film: on the contract, in no ambiguous terms describe that color correction is part of a DP's tools and he should have final say on it.. Not that I didnt on this one.. but just saying...

Damn!

Things are going on full steam... The website is quasi-up. My family in India are going to purchase www.fourlinefilms.com for me since its so much cheaper when you do it through them. As soon as that information comes in, boom, the site will be up and running... and that could happen any minute now. My cellphone should also be in the mail today and, finally, after a month and a half of being in lost-land, I will have my cell active!

Fundraising is happening full-steam and the team is approaching lots of people... again, the donate button on the right.. it beckons! :) haha. Auditions and Production Team calls are happening.. email if youre interested. Would love to hear from you.
